Microblading FAQ

Q

What is eyebrow microblading, and how is it different from other brow techniques?

A

Eyebrow microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that uses a handheld tool to create hair-like strokes in the skin. Unlike other brow techniques, such as traditional tattooing or makeup, microblading gives a natural-looking, realistic finish.

Q

Is eyebrow microblading painful, and is there any downtime involved?

A

Eyebrow microblading is typically not super painful, but some discomfort may be felt during the procedure. There is usually no downtime involved, although there may be some slight redness or swelling in the treated area.

Q

How long does eyebrow microblading last, and what factors can affect its longevity?

A

Eyebrow microblading can last anywhere from 1-3 years, depending on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Overexposure to the sun or harsh chemicals can also affect the longevity of the results.

Q

What should I expect during an eyebrow microblading procedure, and how long does it take?

A

During the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to the area, and the technician uses a handheld tool to create hair-like strokes in the skin. The procedure usually takes around 1.5 to 2  hours, including the consultation and aftercare instructions.

Q

How should I prepare for my eyebrow microblading appointment, and what should I avoid?

A

Before your appointment, it's important to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications. You should also avoid tweezing or waxing your brows for at least two weeks prior to the procedure.

Q

Do I need follow up appointments afte the initial procedure?

A

After your first microblading procedure, you will be booked for a follow up to adjust or add any hair strokes! After that, one to three year touch ups are recommended depending on skin type.

Q

What is the aftercare process for eyebrow microblading, and how do I ensure proper healing?

A

After the procedure, you should avoid getting your brows wet for at least 10 days, and avoid sun exposure, swimming, and exercise for the first week. You should also apply a healing balm regularly to keep the area moisturized and prevent scabbing.

Q

How do you pick a brow shape for my face?

A

Your face will be mapped out before the procedure - bone structure, mathematics and artistry will be used to create the perfect brow.
